Real Wedding Flowers - Pittsburgh,PA

These colorful floral arrangements were created for a wedding on a sunny June day during that wonderful time between spring and summer in Pittsburgh. The pavilion at Hartwood Acres was the perfect location for this event!

This was an A-La-Carte Wedding were the client requested 8 centerpieces and additional flowers for them to do some other small DIY items.

Each arrangement was designed in a white footed compote and featured a mix of greenery, including my favorites: plumosa fern and sword fern. Peachy Louise garden roses are the stars in this centerpiece. They are the perfect bridge from the yellow stock and ranunculus to the pink roses and butterfly ranunculus. Purple campanula, clematis, and alliums help to create the garden-y feel the client wanted. Little touches of garden grown orlaya add a tiny bit of whimsy to the arrangement. The final touch is just a few Romantic Antike garden roses.

Overall, this was a beautiful garden styled Pittsburgh wedding I was so happy to be a part of! Getting the chance to use lots of colors as a wedding florist is a treat. As was getting to use a variety of different flowers! While I aim to accommodate a variety of budgets, the variety and size of arrangements greatly depends on price point. That is an important thing to consider when planning your wedding! With a decent budget and only 8 centerpieces for this A-La-Carte wedding, I could get really creative with the floral designs, use a lot of different flower varieties, and include a good amount of more premium blooms.

Also, mixing it up with some DIY elements lets the bride focus her budget on the most impactful elements. Ordering some extra loose flowers to create some elements of your own is a good way to maximize your budget! (It is important to factor in the time, on your wedding day, it will take to arrange your flowers though!)

This bucket featured lots of garden grown goodness from my own garden! Local & seasonal flowers include helebores, orlaya, agrostema, and snapdragons. Of course I'm a fan of adding local and seasonal flowers whenever possible! I personally grow a good amount of my own flowers in own back yard in Pittsburgh that I try to incorporate in all my wedding floral designs!

Every wedding has different needs, aesthetics, and budgets! I try to be as flexible as possible to accommodate each individual clients needs. From A-La-Carte Pick-ups to Full Service weddings, I love them all!
